The Alston & Bird IP patent prosecution legal secretary’s main job role is to assist firm attorneys in their group. The individual must be able to work beyond normal working hours occasionally, have in-depth knowledge of the USPTO, know how to initiate patent prosecution documents, docket and monitor deadlines, must have previous work experience, secretarial skills, a working knowledge of filing techniques, and capability to organize work. Female candidates will only be preferred for this job role. She must be able to work and interact with all the staff in the firm, take heavy administrative work, proficient in MS office, and have more than five years of experience in a related work environment.
