The CI Manager will lead and manage projects that will leverage the parent company assets with our portfolio of global companies, to deliver best practices, and drive efficiencies and cost savings to the mutual benefit of Alticor Corporate Enterprise (ACE) portfolio companies and Alticor Inc./Amway. This role will lead the identification, design, implementation and project management of strategic supply chain, post merger integration and other operational initiatives across global supply chain functions, product lines, and geographies at ACE portfolio companies. Based on the travel involved in this role, the position can be based at our headquarters in Ada, Michigan; Buena Park, California or a home office. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to develop, lead, and manage projects for our portfolio of global companies, using formal project management procedures; serve as key liaison between ACE portfolio companies to leverage Alticor, Inc./Amway resources; deliver supply chain best practices and techniques to introduce opportunities for improved ways of operating; identify opportunities to LEAN and simplify processes for sustained productivity gains and customer impact, providing input into evaluation and redesign of processes and procedures; and educate project stakeholders on business updates, processes and protocols. The accomplished individual will possess minimum eight years experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environment, leading project management initiatives and/or consulting in a diverse supply chain setting; experience (5 – 7 years) identifying operational improvements with exposures in two or more of the following disciplines (procurement, planning, manufacturing, order to cash, or logistics; demonstrated experience translating strategic business plans into project plans, executing plans, driving deadlines and operating under tight time lines with budgetary constraints; the ability to manage extensive travel (domestic and international); working knowledge of ERP, MRP, TMS, WMS and related technology / systems; and experience in a consulting role with focus on supply chain and operational initiatives.

  • Sourcing Manager, Global Procurement (Indirect)

The Sourcing Manager reports to the Manager, Global Procurement (Indirect). This position develops and owns relationships with suppliers within Indirect Procurement in Transportation, Professional Services, Marketing, IT or other non-traditional Indirect categories of spend and is responsible for developing and integrating long-term procurement strategies for medium to high complexity commodities in collaboration with key internal clients. This position leads Sourcing Strategy Teams for Indirect Services and collaborates with other cross functional teams focused on cost control, process improvements and other Supply Chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage and improve responsiveness to customer demand. A primary function of this role includes communication of key corporate initiatives along with development and execution of business plans to meet corporate objectives. The Sourcing Manager also ensures cooperation and collaboration with key partners to foster innovation as well as leverages partners’ capabilities to maximize the economic value to the enterprise. The Group Leader, Supply Chain Planning reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Planning. This position is responsible for a staff of Supply Chain professionals supporting the Home Care and Personal Care business line manufacturing operations with the material requirements planning, master production scheduling, and finite operations scheduling, supporting allocation of products to affiliates around the world. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to lead team of supply chain planners to effectively plan, schedule, and allocate finished goods to meet customer expectations; mentor staff for a deeper understanding of supply chain goals, practices and processes; implement supply chain education/training programs and monitor progress towards individual development plans; assess employees’ developmental needs and provide opportunities that improve employees’ capabilities to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals; confront difficult employee performance issues and take action to resolve; give employees the responsibility and authority to achieve individual and organizational objectives; delegate effectively; participate in the development, implementation and management of supply chain programs including Operational Excellence (OpX), Constrained Production Planning (CPP), Manugistics and JDE, Customer and Product Segmentation, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Idea To Market Integration; personally participate on the OpX and Supply Chain Excellence teams; identify and promote improved coordination and integration of supply chain best practices and methods into departments that interface with Planning to minimize supply chain costs and activities in support of divisional strategic plans; work closely with management from other departments in teaming and integration issues within cross functional supply chain initiatives. The accomplished individual will possess minimum 5 years experience in supply chain planning; 7+ years preferred; ability to passionately lead the organization through transformational change; strategic, critical thinking skills with ability to analyze a broad range of internal and external issues; ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplines and to influence and motivate individuals and teams; resident expert knowledge in the use and application of supply chain principles, theories, concepts and standards; ability to deliver clear, smooth presentations and carry self well within a group; proven ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships; gaining respect of peers and staff; an obvious presence and respect in meetings and ability to communicate confidently in 1:1 and group settings; passion and enthusiasm and ability to carry self in a professional manner at all times when representing the group and company; strong negotiation, conflict management, project management and change management skills; finance and legal skills a plus; ability to develop/implement supply chain strategies, and to form working relationships with multiple department management; and international business experience and basic understanding of cultural/operational differences and variations.
