The Goodwin Procter PDT and HR assistant’s main job responsibility is to assist the director of professional development and training to provide excellent professional development for the firm’s staff. The individual will also be responsible to provide administrative support to the human resources manager and assist in the overall administration of the New York human resources department, assist the director in planning the professional development and training programs, prepare correspondence, coordinate meetings, create and maintains all key department files, maintain multiple calendars, process expense reports and vendor invoice requests. He/she will also have to assist secretary supervisor in the coordination and communication regarding daily, secretarial coverage, organize online secretarial team bulletin boards, assist secretary supervisor with maintaining secretarial attendance, assist paralegal manager with paralegal recruiting efforts, assist in the preparation of presentations and information packages, responsible for supporting the New York office professional staff recruiting efforts and coordinate the interview and hiring process.

The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with few years of professional experience in a similar working environment, excellent organizational oral and written skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently, strong proofreading skills, interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel, excellent skills in judgment, and excellent technical skills.
