Huddle House chain of restaurants is known for their southern breakfast, steaks, cheesecake, and most of all their highly efficient and friendly employees. Given the chance to succeed in this industry, most employees can become candidates for promotions within the company. The company is known for its huge number of independent workers and many started their career serving the famous southern breakfast. Each employee will go through a training program for improving their skills in customer service.

Being a cook at Huddle House requires no formal training but applicants must know the basics of cleaning and preparing the food areas, utensils, and various cooking surfaces. The cook will be responsible for making sure the food is hot and fresh when it is ready to be served to the quests. As a cook, he or she is also expected to know how to operate large volume cooking equipment like grills, fryers, and/or griddles. They also need to verify that the prepared food meets the company’s standards, in terms of quality as well as quantity.
