This individual will perform process improvement, perform System Administrative Tasks, perform User Account maintenance, perform daily and weekly checklists and duties to insure proper functionality; engineer new technology solutions; and create technical documentation. The successful candidate should have at least 3 years experience in a large environment, working with the following technologies: DNS, DHCP, TCPIP, networking, telephony, Dell hardware, and Microsoft products including Windows Server platform, Active Directory, Group Policy management, Exchange 2003, SQL 2000/2005, SMS, IIS, and SMTP. MCSE or MCSA certifications preferred. LDAP, VBScript, and SAN experience a plus.

- IT – Datacenter Manager
The Datacenter manager will oversee system, datacenter and security operations,and security deployment in Overstock’s data center facilities. This resource will provide leadership and management for the planning, provisioning, implementation, and support of these areas and services critical to provide smooth and efficient operations and achieve uptime SLA’s. The Datacenter manager is also responsible for the planning and coordination of the datacenter operation in accordance with the strategic direction and regulatory requirements related to SOX. The Datacenter manager will be responsible for managing the team that maintains the hardware in all Overstock datacenters, which includes but is not limited to the updating of firmware and bios on server and blade hardware. The DC Manager will oversee preventative and operational maintenance, maintain a secure environment and processes, the running of networking and power cables, create and maintain documentation for policy and procedure, and datacenter space and power schematics to keep accurate and current. The Datacenter manager will be responsible for capacity planning including but not limited to power audits, power configuration, working with datacenter partners to ensure all facilities have redundant and adequate power supplied. Extensive knowledge and experience with power/circuits as it relates to Datacenter facilities is a must. The DC Manager will be responsible for climate control within datacenters. The DC Manager will also be involved in datacenter migrations and hardware moves between facilities. Additionally this candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a highly motivated leader who can train and lead team members. The Datacenter manager will be responsible for all aspects of operational datacenter management including keeping Overstock’s Datacenters clean by managing cleaning contracts, keeping cardboard and contaminants out of the Datacenters and ensuring the space is safe and secure. The Datacenter manager will provide supervision and leadership for Overstock’s datacenter staff including yearly objective setting, and performance reviews; organize, plan, and manage team member’s projects and time utilization; mentor team members, and ensure that they are trained to keep the Data Centers operating in a world class manner; interact with IT counterparts to ensure smooth delivery of services and projects; physical planning design and implementation of cooling, power, fire protection/suppression systems, physical security and environmental controls; respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies such as system failures, fire alarms, severe weather, etc., 24 x 7; implement best-practices, standard implementations and repeatable processes to deliver utility grade operational and datacenter services; understand the different types of systems and recognize design, capacity and installation problems and propose solutions; effective, timely and meaningful management reporting on the status of performance metrics; manage outside vendors and personnel conducting work within data center space (electricians, cabling, cleaning), ensuring that regular preventative maintenance and emergency repairs are performed as specified and on schedule; ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) systems and data center are available, and processes are in place and tested for the data center team to handle and react to a DR event; and create and maintain a plan for 3-5 years of future datacenter growth. Work with senior IT management to ensure that datacenter sizing stays ahead of company growth.

- Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Management responsibilities include simultaneously manage several IT projects from inception through successful rollout to the business unit(s); manages single team and multi team projects. Includes: on boarding (initiation and planning), identify and engage project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, establishes and updates the project schedule, monitors the project and reports status, including coordination between multiple teams, third party vendors and varied stakeholder needs. Appropriate escalation is a key component, all appropriate project closure activities (including documentation and communication of lessons learned), coordinate with vendors when they are part of the project solution, maintains project documentation, and facilitates business requirements gathering. The Senior Project Management coordinates with other project managers and development directors to identify and resolve priority and resource issues; participates actively in all training opportunities within Overstock.com and seeks out learning opportunities in addition to those provided by the company; works actively toward PMP certification; participates as a member of the PMO team in process improvement. Includes, taking on areas of process improvement in a leadership role; mentor to more junior project management team members and provides oversight as needed on projects. This person should have 7+ Years of project management experience either within Overstock.com or within the IT industry external to Overstock.com; PMP certification or equivalent combination of education and experience; college degree in business or technical discipline preferred; excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal; strong Presence and self confidence. Project managers must be able to use tact when presenting project status, risks and issues to business executives and other project stakeholders; team focused with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and business stakeholders; good problem solving and organizational skills; flexible and welcomes and adjusts to change; and significant Overstock.com business knowledge/experience or ability and interest to learn Overstock.com’s business model.
