Scholastic Inc. Duties and Responsibilities
- 1st Shift Warehouse Power Equipment Operator
Qualified candidates should possess at least one year of verifiable experience with the following equipment: Electric Standing Counter Balance Forklift, Narrow Aisle Reach Truck, Walkie / Rider Pallet Jack, and Order Selector. This position should advise the Warehouse Supervisor or immediate supervisor of inventory levels on a basis to avoid out-of-stock inventory; unpack and sort returned books and merchandise; and return all merchandise to the proper location in a timely manner. All merchandise will be handled in a manner so as to avoid damaging, bending, or tearing. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment; assist all other Associates in completing tasks requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor; prepare shipments to fill branch orders; distribute book reorders to branch picking aisles; assist drivers loading and unloading trucks; back-up shipping/receiving clerk; and regular attendance in accordance with schedule.

1st Shift Warehouse Power Equipment Operator Salary: $10.50 hourly
- Account Executive- Educational Sales
The Account Executive will be responsible for all activities related to the respective territory in achieving revenue and expense target/goals and responsibilities are; achieve 100% of territory revenue and expense goal; complete the six month Scholastic Education Training Path; utilize appropriate territory demographic data and sales historical data to successfully prepare a targeted territory action plan; create new partnerships and monitor existing ones with professional organizations, local and state agencies; effectively utilize regional and corporate resources to achieve successful attainment of the territory revenue and expense goal; maintain and update sales pipeline on a weekly basis; master product sales presentations and possess the ability to respond to customer gaps by providing Scholastic solutions; respond in a timely manner to all customer requests, thus securing a high degree of customer satisfaction; articulate the key marketing position statements for each product represented; monitor, review and direct all activities of the Scholastic Sales Representative (SSR); coordinate activities of the SSR to ensure their activities are commensurate with territory goals; meet the demand of an evolving territory and be able to respond professionally as a representative of Scholastic; participate in ad-hoc focus groups to provide product development/ marketing input; present at regional and national sales meetings; participate and assist in national sales events such as Summits and Intervention Conventions; assist in training or mentoring new employees; update Territory Management System on a regular basis; and communicate with regional and national team members in a timely manner.
