- Sidley Austin Human Resource Manager Job Description
The human resources manager in Sidley Austin coordinates the human resources activities for legal and non-legal staff. The individual also provides support to the Firmwide Director of human resources, works with the Directors in other offices, manages recruitment process, develops job descriptions, conducts new employee orientation, manage data for legal and non-legal personnel, maintain records on legal and non-legal personnel, coordinate performance management for non-legal personnel, manage the exit process for departing personnel, document and attend all meetings with non-legal personnel regarding disciplinary matters. He/she is also responsible for communicating various Firm policies and initiatives, responding to inquiries regarding policies, represent the firm at investigations, and keep abreast of HR legislation and trends to ensure best practices.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors Degree, at least 5 years of experience in human resources management, PHR certification, excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and a person who can exercise confidentiality and discretion.
