The Copyright Admin Coordinator is responsible for monitoring internal label product release schedules to identify copyright work to be initiated; obtaining product information such as label copy and video cue-sheets from various departments within the company; obtaining, confirming and maintaining songwriter and publisher ownership splits/shares for songs; maintaining Royaltor Accounts, including creating new accounts, obtaining W9 forms and setting up new vendors in internal IT systems; preparing payment paperwork, for advances and out-of-cycle royalty payments; updating payment statuses of songwriters, publishers, songs or products as needed; creating general contract entries in internal IT systems for use in processing digital and mobile sales (“EMD” contracts); calculating simple copyright royalty rates; amending simple copyright royalty rates as needed due to changes in the underlying information, including the preparation of necessary memos to the royalty department; performing administrative tasks pertaining to the clearance of video broadcasting and/or synchronization rights; performing administrative tasks pertaining to the negotiation of reduced copyright royalty rates; processing copyright licenses for physical, digital and mobile products, including requesting, reviewing and executing licenses; responding to publisher inquiries regarding ownership splits/shares and licensing status; generating and circulating reports; and assisting with special projects on an as-needed basis.

- Vendor Inventory Analyst
The Vendor Inventory Analyst should maintain excellent communication with designated contacts at Anderson Merchandisers and Wal-Mart, the head of the Anderson team, SVP of National Sales and designated label contacts; pull reports, create and analyze reports to provide useful information for all needs including forecasting, inventory management and business performance indicators; communicate all advertising, tour support and other order bump requests to buyer; work with account Buying Team to identify and affect additional product distributions on developing and breaking projects; identify and present catalog opportunities. Prepare files for use on deals, advertised product, tour support, and catalog for new releases, label tracking requests and random fire drill issues; engage in dialog with the account about making the appropriate buy based on pre-order analysis; update and distribute the Sony Music Entertainment Sales Soundscan Analysis report weekly (Market Share Report). Perform regular assortment reviews to identify selections that we may be able to increase inventory position in the accounts’ stores; conduct SKU reviews on individual titles on an ad hoc basis; communicate all pertinent information for account Database – new releases, street date changes, additions, deletions, price changes, etc; run information reports, as needed. Use the Sony Consumer Research department to gather information and or create ways of doing research to help drive additional Sony sales; maintain and update the Sony Central account site. Keep it current and very user friendly; visit stores weekly and check current programs, advertising and complete a check sheets; monitor delivery of new release shipments, monitor meet comp orders, monitor EDI’s, manage orders with order service if needed, and help problem solve; work to minimize account returns by identifying overstock situations early and presenting relevant driver information to the account Buying Team personnel; analyze multi-title promotions to determine lift, title salability, overstock potential, and best practices for future promotional sales; work with the Senior Director of Category Sales to support development of assortment, sales and inventory strategies to drive results in focus music genres and catalog music; provide support to the team including business-appropriate analytics aligned with team goals and formal recommendations to Sony Music Entertainment and account leadership that drive sales, efficiencies or account-specific growth; have a keen understanding of account’s assortment, inventory and space objectives to develop specific approaches and tactics that are mutually beneficial for Sony Music and account; and participate with Vendor Inventory Analysts across Sony Music’s account base to offer best practices, training support, develop common solutions and communicate common needs to Sony Music leadership.
