West Marine was launched in 1970’s and is located in Watsonville, California. West Marine, Inc., in concert with its contributories, operates as a line retailer of boating supplies chiefly in the United States. The Stores section operates stores that mainly sell hardware and supplementary supplies required for daily boat preservation and repairs. The company also sells its products throughout its call center channel and on the Internet.

West Marine Products Duties and Responsibilities

• Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be accountable for managing the whole business requisite procedure with a variety of teams or departments; incorporate the manifold views to make a business requirement description, and the technical key within the plan constraints; this role is accountable for supervision of the technical baseline and for back-to-back running of requirements. This person will describe the criteria for course re-engineering/projects and direct the opening analysis output; offer the technical skill and interpersonal skills to exchange the views of all of the stakeholders; create a fair technical result that fulfills the customer’s need, as well as the technology and business requirements; work as a contact between department business users, IT users and Project Manager to meet all business requirements. This person reports to the Director/Senior Director – PMO.

Business Analyst Salary: $54,000.00

• District Manager

The District Manager under partial supervision will successfully manage the entire aspects of the retail and across-the-board store operations; tasks in assuring an outstanding sales and customer service practice with customers, achieving the sales goals for the business component, scheduling and managing of operations for the business unit; liability for the Profit and Loss statement, record contraction and creating a pleasurable and satisfying surroundings for their associates; he or she will employ, oversee and evaluate the work of secondary associates. This position can be accountable for up to $30 Million dollars in yearly sales; he or she will carry out associated duties as required. This person reports to the Regional VP.

District Manager Salary: $80,000.00

• Research Manager

The Research Manager will be in charge for supporting the execution of the company’s Real Estate Strategy. The Research Manager will be in charge for Sales Projection and market profiles of Identified Potential markets; recognize possible markets and present mature sales forecasts; support Real Estate Director with advanced market forecast for projected new sites in advance of Real Estate Committee. The Research Manager will be in charge for Market Verification/Database Maintenance; preserve and bring up to date all essential market research databases, to include Marina database; boat registration lists; opportunistically assess New Store Locations, assess and take action to projected new sites recommended by investors, customers, co-workers, brokers, landlord, and etc.; present market breakdown and forecast support in Real Estate Committee; build up analogs in support of forecast and market recommendations; and present unending performance tracking on all new, modify and growth projects in an attempt to process forecast discrepancy.

Research Manager Salary: $90,000.00
