Gaming Cage Workers Job Description
The Gaming Cage Worker works in a gaming establishment, conducts financial transactions for patrons. They are responsible to reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance books. The Gaming Cage Worker may sell gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to patrons or to other workers for resale to patrons. They also may convert gaming chips, tokens, or tickets to currency upon patron’s request.
Objectives:
The Gaming Cage Worker must follow all gaming regulations. They must maintain confidentiality of customers’ transactions when they are doing business with patrons. The Gaming Cage Worker counts funds and reconciles daily summaries of transactions to balance books. The Gaming Cage Worker converts gaming checks, coupons, tokens, and coins to currency for gaming patrons. The Gaming Cage Worker is responsible for maintain cage security. The Gaming Cage Worker determines cash requirements for windows, and orders all necessary currency, coins, and chips. The Gaming Cage Worker must verify accuracy of reports, such as authorization forms, transaction reconciliations, and exchange summary reports. The Gaming Cage Worker cashes checks and processes credit card advances for patrons. The Gaming Cage Worker sells gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to patrons or to other workers for resale to patrons. The Gaming Cage Worker performs removal and rotation of cash, coin, and chip inventories as necessary.
Activities:
