Recreational Vehicle Service Technicians Job Description
The Recreational Vehicle Service Technicians diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair or overhaul recreational vehicles including travel trailers. Some may specialize in maintain gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis towing systems as well as repairing generators, appliances, and interior components.
The Recreational Vehicle Service Technician must be able to do the following task in their job function:
- The Recreational Vehicle Service Technician examines or test operation of parts or systems to ensure completeness of repairs.
- The Recreational Vehicle Service Technician repairs plumbing and propane gas lines, using caulking compounds and plastic or copper pipe.

- The Recreational Vehicle Service Technician lists parts needed, estimate costs, and plan work procedures, using parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams.
- The Recreational Vehicle Service Technician connects electrical systems to outside power sources and activates switches to test the operation of appliances and light fixtures.
